BLS Provider/Renewal

BLS Provider/Renewal for those seeking a Basic Life Support card from the American Heart Association.

If you have not previously attended a BLS course or you are renewing a current BLS card, you must complete the online BLS class. Because of the changes and requirements for the American Heart Association, all students MUST:
1. Have a current 2015 guidelines textbook. You can order either a hard copy or an electronic copy from WorldPointECC (eworldpoint.com or 1.888.322.8350). Have the book in your possession at least a week prior to class to allow for adequate study time.
2. Read the book and view the online links and videos on the student website.
3. Upon completion of the online Heart Code BLS class, AHA requires that you must complete the hands on skills testing and bring the completion certificate with you to the course.
4. Bring your current BLS card and the certificate with you to class.

You do not have to purchase a book if you complete the online renewal.
ONLINE RENEWAL
1. Go to www.OnlineAHA.org
2. Under “Courses” select/click on HeartCode ® BLS.
3. On the next screen, under BLS- Basic Life Support – Click on “Course Details” for Heart Code BLS. An explanation will pop up with the purchase price of $28.50. Course 15-1400.
4. Click the “Purchase” button.
5. The next page will require you to set up an account using your email and to create a password.
6. Follow the prompts to purchase and complete the course. Be sure to print the Certificate of Completion and bring to the skills testing. You cannot obtain an AHA BLS card without completing hands on skills testing.
