PALS Renewal for those with current, unexpired PALS card from the American Heart Association.
If you have not previously attended an PALS course, you must attend the complete provider class. You MUST also have a good knowledge of EKG interpretation. Students cannot attend PALS courses if they cannot identify EKG rhythms. Because of the changes and requirements for the American Heart Association, all students MUST:
1. Have a current 2015 guidelines textbook. You can order either a hard copy or an electronic copy from WorldPointECC (eworldpoint.com or 1.888.322.8350). Have the book in your possession at least a week prior to class to allow for adequate study time.
2. Read the book and view the online links and videos on the student website.
3. AHA requires that you must complete the student pretest with a minimum 75% score prior to the course date and bring the pretest completion certificate with you to the course.
4. Bring your current PALS card, the pretest results/certificate with a minimum score of 75%, and your 2015 PALS book with you to class.
Courses listed here are available for open enrollment. Some facilities and groups restrict attendance to employees or members only. In that case, those courses are usually not shown on the calendar.
